Overview:
Under the general direction of their Manager, the Compliance Analyst will support activities related to information security frameworks, regulations and internal policies. Coordinate and support internal and external audit activities. Gather, review, and share documentation and evidence to demonstrate compliance with controls. Perform other duties as assigned. 

Essential Functions: 
  • The Compliance Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Information Security Governance and Data Risk Management functions of Macy’s Technology. 
  • Primary functions include; coordination of audit responses, creating reports to demonstrate health of control compliance, administration of risk assessment and policy exception requests, and partnering with management to resolve instances of non-compliance. 
Qualifications: 

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in complementary field (business, information technology, information security, etc). 
• Previous work experience (1-3 years preferred) in information security, IT audit, and/or other relevant IT area of focus. 
• Familiarity with information security control frameworks preferred (ISO-27001, NIST 800-53, SOX, etc.) 

Communication Skills:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Ability to develop productive relationships with team members and internal customers. 
• Must communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical. 

Mathematical Skills:
• Basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and analytical skills. 

Reasoning Ability:
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound decisions. 

Physical Demands:
• This position involves regular walking, standing, sitting for extended periods of time, hearing, and talking. 
• May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching. 
• May involve close vision, color vision, depth perception, focus adjustment, and viewing computer monitor for extended periods of time. 
• Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. 
• May involve moving or lifting items under 10 pounds. 

Other skills
• Experienced in Word, Excel, and Power Point. 
• Ability to interpret and explain regulatory requirements resulting in actionable items by the business. 
• Strong organizational skills required. 

Work Hours
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs. 
• Ability to conduct a normal professional work week with flexibility to support periodic peak activity demands.
